Hello, people!!! You complain about having too many obese children.  Then, you complain about them being on a diet.   Yes, 800 calories can be a huge problem for a child with weight issue.  With so many people on the fast food diet, people have forgotten what a normal person should eat.   Hot chocolate should be avoided..a whole meal in a cup (at least out).  She has a hard road in front of her, but the initial struggle is worth it.  She may have saved he daughter from a pre-mature heart attack.   My daughter twirls baton and weight really seems to matter.  Average sized girls have an easier time twirling and their suits fit much better.   I would recommend exploring a sport the child might enjoy.  My daughter has trimmed down and gained muscle along the way.  She has also gained confidence.  I would recommend teaching the child why obesity is a bad thing.  And what opportunities open up with decreased weight.

      I am glad this phoney was pointed out.  The gall of this idiot trying to steal the title from a deserving girl.   This stupidity is just another example of how society in going downhill.   If were born a boy, stand up and be one.   If you were born a girl, be proud of who you are.  This grass is greener, easy way out, gender-changing idiocy is just pathetic.   I am so tired of the weirdos infecting society.   Keep it in the closet, everyone else is tired of seeing and hearing about it.

Afganistan

Staff Sergeant Bales was a soldier who served his country until this incident.  He should not be blamed for the stress put on him by wars.   What should be on trial is the policies of the military?   There are so many cases of post traumatic stress that prove this war is not worth it.   I remember when Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize.  I guess that award was given out pre-mature.  Obama, is a peace-maker not a war president.  Let's all laugh.  Obama's presidency has been so detrimental to the country and world.    We can't afford another 4 years.   We need a president who thinks about the US citizen, first-second- third and so on.   We need to know that our kids will receive quality education and have the opportunity to become a success.   We cannot worry about every other country and let our own citizens suffer.   Will our kids be able to get a college degree, buy their own home, get a decent job, feed themselves, and have their dreams fulfilled?  The answer is NO if things keep this downhill slide.

I just read an article about Glee Club.  I could care less about the show sharing a name with a comedy club chain, but a single comment really stood out.  How could this be called a family friendly show.

Let's look at the ages of the cast.  Many of the supposed teenagers look like they could have teenage kids of their own.

As fas as subject matter, I've tried watching the show and was dissappointed.  I would never allow my kids to watch the show even when they are 17.   How is this a family friendly show?  Maybe an adult gay friendly show.  Even as an adult they speed too much time in the gutter to be interesting. A rating of 14+ is not sufficient.  Under-age children should not be watching this garbage.  It needs a rating of TV-MA.  This includes the commercials.  

Personally, I think the rating systems should be changed.  Look at what is including in the rating.  And we wonder why the high schools are getting more violent and sexually active.  We allow TV shows like this one that provides a guide to promiscuety and violence.   Would you want your kids to attend a school like this one?  What is this show really telling kids?  No wonder Cyber Charter schools are gaining in popularity.  No one wants their kids being exposed to this junk and its affects on the school system.   You reep what you sow.

Too strange for TV

January Jones speaks about eating her baby's placenta.  I guess it's ok if it is made into a pill.  I love that she has to justify it saying, "It's not witchcrafty."  Please listen to the comments on this page and realize it is just plain grossy.  I really hope your kid never finds out.  or...next pill.   If you take pills like this one, what else are you likely to take.

Teenage dating

     Although many sites proclaim teen dating is normal, should it be.   I've so many instances where kids believe that everything starts with kissing.  It doesn't matter how well they know the other kid.  Or even if they like the other kid as a person.  
   Should we allow kids to date when they haven't even developed as a whole person?   I read about a ten year old dating and the mother was ok with her being kissed.   I'm sorry I really think a child should not date until they at least graduate high school.   The high school and college years are the time when a child should be developing their self-esteem, self-reliance, and knowledge.  
    What do teenagers really think when they date?  He/she paid a bit of attention to me.  It's so romantic.   He/she is such a bad boy...cool.   FIRST KISS!!  HORMONES RAGING!!!

Hoodies.

Penn State is becoming more and more ridiculous.  Riots, scandals and now the Hoodies.    Come on!!  They said it is not about black and white, but those interviewed on Fox Channel 8 news at ten can only talk about race.

I'll be honest.  I don't care who walks up to me in a hoodie at night, I would be nervous.   Some of the people doing the protest looked crazy, including the white ones.

There are numerous reasons people speed.  I think we have all been late for work or wasn't really paying attention to the speed signs.  Unfortunately, I am one of the slow drivers.   People don't like when you are still going 45 because you didn't notice the sign saying 65.   Let's just admit it 70 still would not be fast enough for other drivers.

Kitchen Nightmares

      The "Kitchen Nightmares" theme was obvious in today's episode.   The owners were overwhelmed and depressed.   The food looked awful, but of course "Tommy" and " Deena" thought it was good.   You must applaud "Chef Ramsey" for his grace in dealing with the family's depression.   
      I guess restaurant owners need to realize the KISS method.  Keep you menu simple and elegant.   Simple can be quite beautiful.   It seems like as the menu become cramped the level of serve suffers.  Owners take shortcuts such as draining oil off dishes.  Putting food in zip lock bags or using "chef mike (microwave)".   If people wanted microwaved food they would buy a TV dinner, it's cheaper.
     The meals Chef Ramsey came up with looked good.   Although, I would give the option to have extra sauce.  I like lots of sauce!!!

Obama fundraiser.

    It is shameful to hear the comments made at the Obama fundraiser.   "Not ready for a white first lady"  You can't tell me that Obama's staff did not review what Robert Di Niro was going to say. 
    I find this article disturbing for many reasons.  Obama is hiring actors for fundraisers.  I wonder who's pocket that money came out of.  He is good at throwing the country's money around when many people are out of work.  As far as a white first lady, Obama's race card is getting a bit annoying.  I don't care what race you are.  I still don't like what you have done with your presidency.  
   As far as a new first lady, America is plenty ready.  I am tired of her campaign for obesity.  Spend a little less money on stupid commercials and more money making athletic programs more accessible for kids.   (Little hint) If the kids are watching your commercials, they are not outside playing.  So in a way, you are helping contribute to the very thing that makes kids sedentary.   The constant depiction of children as fat is not at all healthy.   Have you ever heard of anorexia or bulimia?  Maybe we will get a first lady who believes in making kids proud of who they are. 
    A president who cares more about the state of the union than his own race card would be novel after this "Fubar" of a presidency.   Maybe help make more programs available for children, rather than taking away from their education so they can bailout Wall Street and large car manufacturing.  Maybe bring a few jobs that pay above $8 per hour (sorry 4 year college degree =$9 currently) back to the country.  Maybe make it profitable for products to be made in this country, rather than China's look at it and it breaks junk. 

Challenge buy a China product and one made in the USA.  See which one lasts longer.

    Tonight's episode is a toss up.  I love that it explores how the media tries cases before they actually make it into the media.  The media often acts like judge, jury and executioner / pardoner.   They place themselves above others like they do no wrong.  Yeah, right.  This time the reporter makes her own news.  Like that doesn't ever happen.  
   I don't believe that the cops would casually pronounce someone guilty without enough evidence.  I guess this episode is lets accuse everyone and eventually you might just find the killer.  The search of the boat did not seem very thorough.   The "hunky" photo seems a bit pathetic.  I guess they have to flaunt their most attractive cast member.   Honestly, the reporter as a suspect is a little too obvious.

River 3-20-2012

In this week's episode, the Magus crew seems more vile than ever.  Lincoln is shot and dies.   Tess and Jahel engage in a misguided attempt to bring Lincoln back to life.   From the moment Lincoln revives, Emmet suspects that Lincoln is not himself.  His suspicions justified by a mysterious video, Emmet takes action.  Jonas is dead, but I guess video can lie.

It does seem a bit ironic that Lincoln does not seem to be at all happy to reunite with his father.   The discussion between father seems a bit insincere.   The crew also says the are angry about Lincoln's death.  The reaction does not seem at all realistic.   They seem too fake.  I am not sure if it is intentional.  What would a family be like if they lived every moment on tape?  Would the crew be the true idiot box?  Would they lack in real emotion?  Except for fear, of course.

The crew's delve into sex should have been skipped.  It just seemed more like pathetic acting.

I would like to hear more about the true background of Kurt.  Is he another evil character or is he guarding a truth that should never be uncovered?

Ghost writers vs. Lip syncing

                                   Ghost writers

     The concept of ghost writing brings up so many questions.   As a consumer, I expect to be purchasing the written work of the author on the cover.   I believe paying another person to write for you violates the consumer/author expectations.   If I purchase  an autobiography, I want it to be a book of personal recollections of your own experiences.   I believe the ghost writer should be named.  Not for the ghostwriter, but for the consumer.   It is called integrity, something lost on many celebrities. 

    Why is ghost writing so much different from lip syncing?   In some respects ghost writing is the same as lip syncing.   The artists in both areas claim that the are producing the  content.  Both artists are using subderfuge to con consumers.  The artists both claim that lip syncing and ghost writing is normal and common.  Lip syncing tends to be caught more often.   Ghost writer are paid-off for their silence.  Either way, I believe that it is a violation of the consumers trust.

Alcatraz

March 19, 2012 10pm

     This week's Alcatraz prisoner was hurt and almost drowned by his mother.   His experience has caused ringing in his ears.   He describes the cold water, screaming in his head and his mother's face.  The sight of his mother's hair spreading floating in the water seems especially traumatic.   The humming of a refrigerator seems to lessen this condition.   The prisoner refuses to talk when ....comes into the picture.
      I guess that the prisoner is replaying the trauma caused by his own mother.   The first victim is a female college student majoring in music.   It is assumed that the victim had long hair.   Before drowning her, she was tied for three days.   He also cut off her hair before the drowning.  I assumed that he does not want to see her hair float like his mother's hair.    Before cutting to commercial, the prisoner talks to (possible fellow music student) and says he likes her hair.
     His status as an Alcatraz prisoner seems to be confirmed by the presence of coloidal silver under the fingernails of his victim.
    

George Clooney think about your own country!!!

   George Clooney was arrested for breaking U.S. law during a protest in front of the Sudanese embassy.   Why are actors taking the place of trained personnel.  Government officials don't throw on costumes and cake on make-up to act in movies.   Do what you know best.  You should be ashamed for being a catalyst for getting your father arrested.   Speaking of arrests, $100 bail is a joke.  As a wealty person, you should be required to pay the costs related to your protest.   I guess everyone else should pay for your decision to protest.  Haven't you heard of the problems in the U.S.   I guess if the problems are not in your own country, they are more interesting.   Why don't you do something productive and start a business that will give good jobs to Americans.  Easing the pain of Americans looking down the barrel of homelessness or lack of food.   Show some support for your own country.

Excused

   The CBS show Excused provides a wonderful example of what you should not do during a date.  The girls seem to be  expected to act like sluts.  Any glimmer of intelligence is not looked upon fondly.   The guys seem to be more and more vile.   They do not let their true intentions go unnoticed.  Yet, you still sit wonder which sick-o will get the girl.  The excused girl seem to be the lucky ones.   The host seems like the only quality person on the show.
